The story is a Chinese adoption story.
To best describe the story, I am copying/pasting the back cover of my book below.
Although the story is fiction,
I drew from my own experiences in adopting the two little lights of my life (Abby Hui
Hua - from Jiangxi in 1999 and Ally Yong Ping - from Guangxi
in 2002). I am such a lucky guy to have such a wonderful family (Karen, Blake, Ashley (and Anne), Wesley, Abby
and Ally).
The story has a few twists and turns that will make you laugh
and also make you cry. The surprise ending will warm your heart, and provide just one possible answer
to the questions all adopting parents ask themselves. And maybe even give our little ones something to hold
onto as they grow stronger in new lives with their forever families.
A great portion of the
royalties I receive from this book will be donated to Chinese adoption related foundations. My hopes are that
others will be inspired by my story and adopt a child from China (or some other country).
